Located in Glendale, California, the open-air mall consists of 15.5 acres, stretching across four city blocks. The 400 million dollar project includes residency, high class dinning and entertainment. Although the architecture encompasses many styles, the theme of Americana at Brand reflects the industrial era, as seen with the parking structure that shows off its massive elevator shaft and steel beams.

The exterior winches and Counterweight Systems for this iconic elevator tower were designed and manufactured by InterAmerica Stage, Inc. of Sanford, Florida. This unique rigging equipment runs up the face of an 8 story tower in sync with the actual Otis Elevators operating inside. A highly specialized control system was developed specifically for this project.

At the center of the entire project, is an 80-foot fountain. The fountain is surrounded by a playground and park setting with stores all around. The fountain performs a musical spectacle every half hour, entertaining shoppers and casual strollers. The center piece of the fountain, a gold leaf statue, is a replica of Donald de Lue’s 1949 Spirit of American Youth. This statue serves as the icon for what is Americana at Brand. If you look closely you will see the entire fountain pool has an intricate grating system for support, access and protection of the fountain lighting effects and other equipment. Similar to a project recently completed by IAStage at Caesars in Atlantic City, IAStage designed and provided the support and fiberglass grating system.

In addition to the huge tower rigging system and fountain work, IAstage installed two extravagant chandeliers on the property.
