Iris Williams, a young Asian woman wearing glasses and a black IA Stage collared shirt, has been promoted to Sales Engineer.InterAmerica Stage (IA Stage) is proud to share that Iris Williams has received a promotion. She now holds the position of Sales Engineer, exemplifying IA Stage’s culture of providing growth opportunities to its employees. In her new role as Sales Engineer, Iris will be responsible for supporting the sales team with their technical needs. “Her expertise in engineering and technical theatre will prove a huge asset to our sales team,” says Mark Black, President/CEO of IA Stage.

Iris started her journey with IA Stage in June 2022 as a project engineer and draftsperson, but her passion for theatre and the arts has been evident since high school. During her senior year, she led her team to win first place at the World Finals of Odyssey of the Mind, strengthening her passion for engineering. Iris went on to earn an Engineering degree from Sweet Briar College while also working in the admissions office and continuing to work in technical theatre. Her background in technical theatre and engineering makes her an ideal candidate for her new role with IA Stage’s sales team.

“Iris’s transition to the Sales department is a natural one,” says Black, adding, “She has the knowledge and experience to support our sales team in a technical capacity. We are excited to see her succeed in her new role as she continues to nurture her passion for theatre and the arts while contributing to the growth of the company.”
